Preservation in Action

Saving Places is going Virtual for 2021! But this is not just another zoom meeting. For over 20 years the Saving Places Conference has been THE historic preservation conference in the region, gaining a reputation far extending our Colorado borders. If you have never been in the past or have made the conference part of your February traditions – now more than ever we need you here!

The threats and challenges addressing preservation and its related fields are real, but so are the success stories and positive moves forward. This year we are bringing you content directly tied to the current climate with panels addressing issues of economic development, COVID-specific challenges, and question of relevance and inclusion.

Join us for three days of substantive content that begins each day with a keynote speaker and breaks you off into four blocks of session content, with three choices of sessions per block and one interactive networking breakout option. That is over 36 sessions, workshops and breakouts that can be joined live or accessed later.

We have heard you loud and clear, networking is at the heart of conferences such as Saving Places, and to address this need in a virtual space we have adopted a technology that allows you to “sit” at tables with fellow conference-goers, “grab” an attendee after a session and go to a separate table for a follow-up discussion and interact with our sponsors.

Content is critical, but we have also planned a conference with unique experiences and a bit of fun worked in. Interested in heading to Rangely and experiencing music at the historic TANK, the Sonic Arts Center? You will during our interactive Preservation Marketplace Celebration, trivia, happy hours, a scavenger hunt and a silent auction are all awaiting you.

Don’t just take our word for it!
Hear what past attendees have been saying.

2021 brings new challenges and the historic preservation community is engaged and dynamically responding! Join us in building stronger, more inclusive partnerships and register today.

Join us for Unique Virtual Networking Opportunities

Watch a sneak peek of our networking environment.

Networking Breakouts

Experience the "in-person" networking and connection online in our Virtual Networking space. You will be able to freely explore the space, meet new people, hear from our sponsors and continue the conversation virtually.

Networking Lunch Breakouts

We might not be able to gather physically in person for lunches, but that does not mean we will not provide you with unique opportunities to gather at tables and meet fellow attendees. Each day we have reserved the lunch hour for all attendees with a themed breakout happening at the networking space. Join a virtual table with other attendees as you……. Need to chat more privately about a project? Head to another “floor” and pull up a table with your team to discuss in a quiet virtual environment.
